With Dark Glass Productions complete, I can turn my attention back to Origin Point though time certainly is flying. The game's story is almost completely done and several new weapons and features have been implemented since the last news post.
As for sprites...well, I'll be honest, I'm not a very good spriter. I've had help from a few people here and there but I've still had to do most of the spriting, which is partially why progress is so slow. Well.. It's been quite a while, and for that I apologize. Four months have passed since the last news post, and boy, do I have a lot of catching up to do.
For starters, anyone who's paid attention to the site in the last month would have noticed that it was down. The host, phazon.org, went down suddenly and hasn't come back up yet. For now I'm hosting this site on one of my other sites, Dark Glass Productions. Before phazon.org went down you may have also noticed that the forum went offline, and for good reason. It wasn't being used at all and we had a bad infestation of spam bots. I might bring it back if more people are willing to actually give it attention, but for now, it's down. Now, onto the game itself.. Origin Point is not canceled, it was just put on hold temporarily for the past couple of months. Now that school is out I can say that work will resume on it. The second alpha of Origin Point is ready for release! Several things that have been added include a saving system, energy expansions, new enemies, new rooms, a tutorial, the intro, an options menu, and more. You can download it from the downloads page as usual. Along with the demo, the screenshots page has been updated, and make sure to visit the forum when you can.
